The location for Helmstedt was good, short walk to pretty town centre, the city center, and several nice restaurants. It also was to Hannover fairgrounds.

I've been to this hotel a few times over the years and I keep coming back because of its great staff and central location. The breakfast selection is also delicious, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The warm welcome and the presence of portraits of Queen Elizabeth and her mother added a nice touch to our stay.

Great Staff and Tasty Breakfast

During my romantic escape, the staff was friendly and welcoming. They were very helpful from the moment of check-in until the time of our departure. The breakfast offered a lot of delicious options from which to choose. We especially loved the scrambled eggs and bacon. Another highlight was the spacious and clean room with a comfortable bed and crisp sheets. The hotel's location was also perfect for us as it was close to all the best local attractions.

Our room was on the street side and was very noisy. We could hear all the traffic passing by during the night, which made it hard to sleep.

Our experience during New Year's Eve was ruined as the hotel did not inform us in advance that it would be unmanned between the afternoon of the 31st till the following morning. We weren't able to enjoy any food or drinks on the premises and the absence of a bar or restaurant service was a major disappointment.
